FLAG-ERA
FLAG-ERA gathers most regional and national funding organisations (NRFOs) in Europe with the goal of supporting the Future and Emerging Technologies (FET) Flagship concept and more specifically, the FET Flagship initiatives Graphene and Human Brain Project (HBP). FLAG-ERA contributes to the construction of the two Flagship initiatives on graphene and human brain research, and also offers support to the four non-selected pilots to progress towards their goals with adapted means.
In total, the FLAG-ERA Consortium counts currently 39 funding agencies from 26 countries in Europe and beyond (22 full members + 17 associate members).
The 22 full members come from 14 Member States of the European Union (Belgium, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Sweden, and United Kingdom) and three Associated States (Israel, Switzerland, and Turkey).
The 17 associate members come from 11 Member States (Austria, Belgium, Germany, Finland, Greece, Luxemburg, Slovenia, Slovakia, Poland, Bulgaria, the Netherlands) and two Associated States (Norway, Israel).Additional NRFOs (National and Regional funding Organisations) can join FLAG-ERA in the course of the project as Associated Members, after acceptation by the General Assembly and by signing an accession form to the Consortium Agreement.
On October 1st, 2020, FLAG-ERA published the pre-announcement of its fourth Joint Transnational Call in support of projects in synergy with the Graphene Flagship and the Human Brain Project.
The call aims to add a fourth wave of transnational partnering projects to support and extend these two FET Flagship initiatives.
The full call announcement is planned to be published at the end of November 2020.
