Meeting in Leuven: Lithuania's potential in semiconductors, photonics and life sciences

On 10th of October, in Leuven (Belgium), the chairman of the Research Council of Lithuanian, Dr. Gintaras Valinčius, together with the representatives of the State Research Institute for Physical Sciences and Technology (FTMC), Prof. habil. Gintaras Valuščius, Linas Eriksons, Head of the Lithuanian Liaison and Innovation Liaison and Office of Excellence (LINO) in Brussels Tadas Tumėnas, and the Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania to the Kingdom of Belgium, Dainius Petras Kamičas, met with Ludo Deferm, Executive Vice-President for Strategic Affairs and Piet de Moor, Chief Funding Officer of the International Research and Innovation Centre for Nano-electronics and Digital Technologies (IMEC). The purpose of this meeting was to discuss future cooperation between the FTMC and IMEC. During the meeting, Dr. G. Valinčius invited IMEC to collaborate with FTMC and to exploit Lithuania's potential in the fields of semiconductors, photonics and life sciences.
