International conference "Widening Lithuanian Research Potential"

On 21 November 2017 the international conference “Widening Lithuanian Research Potential” was hosted by the Research Council of Lithuania in Vilnius. The event was dedicated to the launch of the Lithuanian Research, Development and Innovation (RDI) office in Brussels (LINO).

The aim of the conference was to discuss Horizon 2020 measures under the programme “Spreading Excellence and Widening participation”, Lithuanian and other Widening Member States experiences participating in these calls and implementing the projects.

The attendees benefited from insights presented by Ms Magda de Carli, Head of Unit for Spreading Excellence and Widening Participation, Directorate-General for Research and Innovation, European Commission, and presentations given by other invited speakers.

A number of Teaming projects, Twinning projects and ERA Chairs´ implementers presented their experiences.

The discussions will help formulating the expectations for the new financial period after 2020.
