EuroNanoMed ERA-Net initiative
EuroNanoMed ERA-Net initiative comprising 24 partners from 18 countries/regions is supported by the European Commission, created as a result of the commitment of European member states and regions to support trans-national RTD projects.
The aim of EuroNanoMed is to foster the competitiveness of European nanomedicine actors through the support of trans-national collaborative and multidisciplinary RTD projects with participants ranging from academia, clinical/public health communities, and industry (particularly small and medium-sized enterprises).
To fulfill its mission, 3 joint transnational Calls for Proposals (in 2009, 2010 and 2011) were launched under EuroNanoMed, with a total budget of approximately 40-60 M€, corresponding to 10-15% of the sum of the 24 national/regional partners budget specifically dedicated to support Nanomedicine applications.
Given the success of the EuroNanoMed ERA-NET initiative (2009-2011), support to the European Nanomedecine research community is continuing. The EuroNanoMed II ERA-NET project, comprising 20 partners from 17 countries/regions, has been granted funding through the EC’s 7th Framework Programme. It will run from November 2012 to October 2016. More information will soon be available on its dedicated website, expected to be announced at January 2013.
Fourth Joint Call for Proposals to support transnational innovative research projects in Nanomedicine under EuroNanoMed II is currently still active. Sixteen countries/regions are participating to this call for proposals: Belgium/Flanders, Belgium/Wallonia, France, Germany, Iceland, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
Research project consortia who intend to submit a transnational proposal should register from January 14th 2013, at https://www.pt-it.de/ptoutline/application/euronanomed, by clicking on “to register” and following instructions.
Registration and electronic proposal submission must be completed before Monday 4th March 2013 17:00:00 CET.
