Call for Proposals for Post-Doctoral Fellowships

Research Council of Lithuania launches the first call for proposals for project funding under the measure No 09.3.3-LMT-K-712 „Strengthening the Skills and Capacities of Public Sector Researchers for Engaging in High Level R&D Activities“ activity „Promotion of Post-Doctoral Fellowships“ of the Operational programme for the European Union funds’ investments in 2014–2020.

Purpose of the measure

The purpose of the measure is to enhance the scientific skills of students, researchers and scientists through practical activities, exchange of scientific ideas, and promoting the setting-up and development of scientific communication and networking.

Budget of the call, eligible applicants, requirements to projects

Budget of the call is up to 4 350 000, 00 Euros.

The eligible applicant is an  university, state research institute of  Lithuania holding the right to carry out the art or research doctoral studies and (or) state research institute educating researchers together with an university included into an open vocational information, counselling, and guidance system AIKOS.

There is no possibility to apply with a project partner.

The maximum amount of project budget is up to 72 450, 00 Euros. The maximum funding intensity may exceed up to 100 % of all eligible costs.

The duration of a project shall be 24 months. In the course of the project implementation the research fellow must be enrolled and attend a fellowship programme at a foreign research or studies institution, a research centre, a laboratory, an enterprise, an institution, a library, an archive, an expedition, etc. 

Procedure for application submission

Applications may be submitted as signed paper documents or electronical documents signed by secure digital signature.

If a paper application is submitted, the applicant provides one original application with its annexes and PDF version of the application copied in a CD. Annexes of the application must be saved as Microsoft Office Word format. The content of paper and electronic version of the application must be identical. If discrepancies between paper and electronic version occur information provided in original paper version of the application will be followed.

The application must be sent by registered mail or delivered to the Research Council of Lithuania, address: Gedimino pr. 3, LT-01103 Vilnius, LITHUANIA.

If an electronic application is submitted, the applicant provides the electronic application with its annexes by e-mail info@lmt.lt. Documents or their copies provided together with the application may not be digitally signed.

The application sent by registered post must be submitted to post service provider no later than 24:00 of 13th on June 2017.

If the application is not sent by registered post it must be delivered to the Research Council of Lithuania no later than 17:00 (local time) on 13th of June 2017.

If the application is submitted as electronic document it must be sent by e-mail info@lmt.lt no later than 24:00 (local time) of 13th on June 2017.

The application with its annexes must be submitted with the letter of institution of the applicant.

Research Council of Lithuania does not accept applications submitted later than deadlines set or other than submission options described.
